Meet Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Tong
Hi, I’m Dr. Elizabeth Tong! Born and raised in Los Angeles. I knew early on that I wanted to mix my love for science with my love for people. I earned my B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at UCLA and could not leave sunny LA, so I continued my studies at UCLA and completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2018. Though I started my career working with adults, I quickly realized my true passion: making dentistry fun and stress-free for kids.
I wanted to create a dental office where kids can laugh, play, and win a prize, all while learning to care for their smiles. I believe that a positive dental experience as a child lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits. I also understand that dental visits can be stressful for parents and children alike, and I am committed to making every visit as calm, friendly, and reassuring as possible.
When I’m not helping little smiles grow, you might find me trying to get my hands on the latest blind boxes, rewatching Harry Potter, or getting boba with my husband and dog.

From start to finish, your child’s first visit at Play Children’s Dental is all about comfort, clarity, and connection. Whether your child is a first-timer or a seasoned pro, we meet them where they are—offering a calm environment, personalized care, and plenty of options to help them feel in control and cared for.
The Patient Experience
Expect a warm welcome, a friendly team, and a fun walkthrough of our space. We take our time getting to know your child (and you!) before jumping into the dental stuff. With music, streaming shows, and stuffies by their side, we create a positive foundation for every future visit.

Available upon request, our cozy weighted blankets provide gentle pressure and calming comfort to kids who need extra support.

With Netflix, Disney+, and other kid-friendly shows available, your child can sit back, relax, and enjoy their favorite movies or cartoons while tuning out the sounds of dental tools.
Claw Machines & Arcade Games
From our arcade-style waiting room to a prize from the claw machine after each visit, we turn dental visits into experiences kids can actually get excited about.
Sunglasses & Comfort Menu
We know many kids dislike the bright lights at the dental chair, so we give them a cool pair of sunglasses to wear during their visit.

From cartoons to calming visuals, our overhead TVs help keep kids engaged and at ease throughout their appointments.
